3 Questions : Hannah
3 Questions is an interview-style series featuring some of my favorite bloggers. Every week, I ask one inspirational person 3 completely random questions and ask them to share three photos that represent Who they are, What they do or make and Where they feel the happiest.
When I first found the Rough Draft Farmstead blog, I binge read post after post after post. I couldn’t get enough of this young couple and their story. Their hard work and dedication paired with support from neighbors, local community and a successful crowd-funding mission, has led them to where they are now: farmers who live off-the-grid in a small cabin in Kentucky. I’m continually impressed with their drive for sustainability and am so glad they share the challenges and joys of running a farmstead with us through their blog. And I’m excited to share with you this week the three random questions I threw at Hannah.
What was the last movie you saw?
We just recently got Netflix which is a
big deal for us. We never go out to the movies and we don’t have the internet, cell phones, or tv at the cabin, but we can watch a
on our computer if the battery is charged. We have been trying to catch up on last year’s Oscar movies on rainy days and we just finished Dallas Buyers Club. It was great!
What is your favorite sound?
My favorite sound lately is probably the grunting piglets. We bottle-raised three piglets since they were one day old, and I have come to know the specific sound of each one’s squeal and groans as they come running each morning for their breakfast. The sounds that can come out of their little bodies are impressive!
If you could travel in time, would you visit 100 years in the past or 100 years in the future?
Since we basically already live like most people did 100 years ago, it would probably be more interesting to see the future! Although I do worry about the state of our planet in 100 years, I have hope that we can turn things around and begin valuing our health, food, and farmers more than businesses and corporations. I would like to visit a future where this is being accomplished!
