3 Questions : Lindsay
3 Questions is an interview-style series featuring some of my favorite bloggers. Every week, I ask one inspirational person 3 completely random questions and ask them to share three photos that represent Who they are, What they do or make and Where they feel the happiest.
Most of the bloggers I feature here had me at my very first visit to their space. Lindsay is no exception to that rule. Her space inspired and moved me right away. It might have to do with her photos, how inviting and cozy they are. But really, its
her content and how she presents and shares it with us. She speaks with such grace and humor and shares all the joys of the simple life: food, gardening, chickens and crafting.
Do you have any hidden talents? I had to enlist my husband to help me with this question, but I may have one or two hidden talents worth mentioning. For instance, I can wiggle my nose and pinky toes independently, and can curl my tongue three ways at once. I’m also decent at the Humdinger portion of the game Cranium. Though, honestly, have you ever tried to hum the song Respect by Aretha Franklin? It’s almost impossible for me to hum that song in any recognizable way without an accompanying one-fingered sassy gesture. Try it and get back to me.
Have you ever had an unusual job? If so, what was it? When I was 20, I worked in the science department for my local community college. I was the animal caretaker, so I had to feed and clean cages for all the fish, rats, tarantulas, frogs, and even the snake – no easy task when you are as afraid of snakes as I am. Of all the critters in my care, my favorite was the Chinese water dragon. I’d set him up on my shoulder when he was a baby and feed him crickets while I cleaned out his cage. He was a cute little guy.
In a game of truth or dare, which do you more often pick, truth or dare? It has been many years since my last game of Truth or Dare, but to give you an idea, my friends and I renamed the game to Truth or Truth because we were tired of the usual dares of drinking toilet water or awkwardly kissing strangers. I’d still probably go with truth today if asked, because, let’s face it, if the question is too personal, you can always just lie.
