Back in summer of 2017, I got my hands on a 50% off coupon for Wool and the Gang's website so I decided to try out their Crazy Sexy Wool. I bought a Koselig blanket kit but the herringbone stitch was frustrating so I opted for a simple garter stitch blanket instead. I chat more about the throw in the video below.
I'm joining in Rochelle of Home Row Fiber Co's #2018MakeNine challenge. Here are nine projects I hope to complete in 2018.
In addition to these nine knit items, I also aim to:
1. Design my first knit garment
2. Gift more handmades
3. Make goats milk soap
4. Connect with more fiber enthusiasts by attending and/or hosting gatherings
5. Go to fiber festivals
6. Start an interview video series
7. Improve the audio and visual of my videos
What are your creative, crafty goals in 2018?
I'm very happy to announce the release of my very first sock pattern! When I opened my August Sock Crate from Knit Crate and saw this Ewetopia Kickapoo Sock yarn in the "Swallowtail" colorway, I knew almost immediately what it would be. The colors reminded me of the Irish coast---sea blues, sandy beiges, seaweed greens, stony grays. The Chain Cable down the front reminded me a line of sea glass or pebbles.

Out now! Paintbox Yarns Socks! With 29 unique colorways in four different themes, you can truly "Pick Your Palette" and make a rainbow of socks. You can get your hands on these at loveknitting.com. They were kind enough to send me three balls. I chat about this yarn in the above video. And, to spread the colorful love, I'm giving away the skein below.
Simply comment below or on this Instagram post to enter to win the above skein of Pixel - Newsprint! Winner will be drawn randomly on November 28th in the evening.
